Not sure what your vehicle needs? Let us figure it out.

When something goes wrong with your Ford or Lincoln vehicle, accurate diagnosis is everything. At Martel Automotive Services, we use the same diagnostic software that Ford dealerships use, real IDS and FDRS software, to give you dealer-level accuracy without the dealer price tag.

Most independent repair shops rely on aftermarket scan tools that can read basic fault codes but cannot communicate with every module in a Ford vehicle. Our IDS and FDRS systems give us full access to every module, every system, and every data channel in your vehicle. That means we can find problems that other shops miss, and we can fix them right the first time.

WHAT IS IDS?

IDS stands for Integrated Diagnostic System. It is the factory diagnostic software used by Ford dealerships across the country. IDS allows our technicians to communicate directly with all of the electronic modules in your Ford or Lincoln vehicle, read and clear fault codes, run active tests, and perform module programming. If your dealer uses it, we use it.

WHAT IS FDRS?

FDRS stands for Ford Diagnostic and Repair System. It is the next generation of Ford's factory diagnostic platform, designed to support newer Ford vehicles including the F-150 with the 10-speed transmission, the Bronco, the Mustang Mach-E, the Maverick, the Super Duty lineup, and other late model Ford products. FDRS is required to properly diagnose and program these vehicles. We have it.

WHY THIS MATTERS

If you take your Ford to a shop that does not have IDS or FDRS, they are working with limited information. They may be able to read a generic fault code, but they cannot perform module programming, run Ford-specific active tests, or verify repairs the way the factory software allows. This leads to misdiagnosis, unnecessary parts replacements, and problems that come back after the repair.

With Martel Automotive Services, you get the full picture. Our Ford Master Technicians use IDS and FDRS every day to diagnose everything from simple sensor faults to complex transmission programming and hybrid system issues.

VEHICLES SUPPORTED

Our IDS and FDRS systems support the full range of Ford and Lincoln vehicles. This includes cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, diesels, hybrids, and electric vehicles. If you drive a Ford product and something is not right, we have the tools and the expertise to find out exactly what it is.
